Passenger 365 Organic Cotton Short Review

Passenger 365 Organic Cotton Short – Laidback Comfort with a Conscience
I picked up the 365 Shorts as a summer-ready alternative to my well-loved 365 Trousers, hoping for something that could handle everything from lazy Sunday strolls to impromptu paddleboard launches. After a few weeks of wear, I can safely say: these shorts are ridiculously easy to live in.
Build & Materials
Made from 98% organic cotton and 2% elastane, the fabric has a soft, peach-finish feel that’s instantly comfortable — no break-in period needed. The slight stretch gives just enough flex for climbing over stiles or crouching to light a camp stove, without ever feeling baggy or saggy.
The garment-dyed finish gives them a slightly worn-in, lived-in look straight out of the bag — like your favourite shorts from last summer, but without the mystery stains.
Fit & Features
I’m 5’10”, 75kg, and the size 32 fits spot-on with a regular, relaxed cut — not too slim, not too boxy. The 19″ inseam hits just above the knee, which feels modern without veering into thigh-hugger territory.
Features I’ve come to appreciate:
- Side pockets with printed cotton herringbone lining — subtle but classy
- Welted back pockets that don’t balloon out
- YKK zip fly and branded buttons that feel solid
- Belt loops for when you want to dress them up a notch
Everyday Performance
These shorts have become my go-to for everything from dog walks to pub lunches. They’re breathable in the heat, hold their shape after multiple wears, and haven’t faded or shrunk after a few washes (cold cycle, hang dry as recommended).
They’re not technical shorts — no hidden zips or water resistance — but they’re perfect for everyday adventure. And knowing they’re made from organic cotton with a tree planted for every order? That’s a feel-good bonus.
Pros
- Supremely comfortable from day one
- Ethically made with organic materials
- Versatile style — works with tees, shirts, or hoodies
- Great colour options (Toffee is a personal favourite)
Cons
- Not ideal for wet or high-output activities
- No internal phone pocket or zip security
- Slightly premium price — but justified by quality and ethics
- Sizing is on the large side
Final Verdict The Passenger 365 Shorts are effortlessly wearable, thoughtfully made, and built for slow mornings, spontaneous road trips, and everything in between. If you’re after a pair of shorts that feel as good as they look — and do a bit of good for the planet too — these are a solid shout.
